Way to upload a video to be used as a background video versus having to link from YouTube/Vimeo?

Is there any way that Squarespace users have been able to upload or embed a video directly versus having to link to a YouTube/Vimeo video? Doing this will prevent the mobile fallback image showing up before the video on desktop and also allow the video to be shown across mobile devices versus having to use a mobile fallback image. I was bummed to see that Wix offers this feature and it seems to work well, but it can't be done with Squarespace. If anyone has found a work-around for this, thanks for taking the time to reply.
