derricksrandomviews Posted May 11, 2020 Share Posted May 11, 2020 You can choose the new domain but you can't cancel the old one. You can let it expire. Domains are like house addresses. If purchased thru squarespace, you can get the one you want have both and change the new one so it is the primary domain. Both will go to your site at the same time. Link to comment

You'd need to buy the new domain either through Squarespace, or another domain provider (NameCheap, GoDaddy etc). Buying through Squarespace will be easier for the next steps. Then in the top-level settings for the website, there is as "Domains" section. You would choose the domain there. Hopefully that answered your question? Link to comment
