Bumping this for recommendations on what to do. Is there any way that I could add the <h1> tag into the header without access to the backend? Is this an actual problem I have? I'd be grateful for any advice, thanks.

Hi, a strange error showing in Bing webmaster tools after running a site scan. Any ideas? The cart page is not active because I don't have products yet but the homepage threw me. Doesn't it automatically have an <H1> tag? I have a logo with alt-text in place of the site title but I'm sure that shouldn't make a difference. www.mybeautyangel.com

I received a response for my ticket and they said: "There's no need to worry about that error message! In this case, this error will not interfere with the JavaScript's ability to convert links on your site. Instead, this error is caused by a pixel failing to load on your page, but is not a cause for concern!" Is it the pixel loading really not an issue? I wish I knew more about the technical side of things. -

Update: I changed from AddThis to ShareThis as they have a free third party cookie banner on offer. It's a lot to take in. Hopefully that fixes that. Should I remove the sqsp one? I can't figure out if the free one will cover everywhere else. Regarding the code snippet, I lodged a ticket to support to ask for a fix, it they have one. If not, I will remove it. -

Oh! I’ll take a look into those. Thanks for pointing them out. I wasn’t sure about the tracking issue but will research and get something done about it. -

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if someone could take the time to glance over my new website and give some feedback on flow and user friendliness. If you have any suggestions on how to improve or make any other changes to it. It's an affiliate site. I trained as a beauty therapist many years ago and have decided to share my knowledge on skincare with the hope of making a supplemental income. Also, I'm based in Australia and registered a .com due to not restricting the reach. Thoughts? It might be helpful if I added my site link https://www.mybeautyangel.com

Hi everyone, I have been working on my new site for a couple of months and finally went live last week. I have submitted sitemaps and waiting on pages to be indexed. My question is if I keep editing my posts to add internal linking and adding alt text to images (should have done this alt text in the beginning), I have also added some affiliate links, does this have an affect on how those pages are indexed?

Help needed with finding navigation structure
LucyMac replied to LucyMac's topic in Site Structure & Navigation
Thanks tuanphan and Derrick. Before I get to that, I have been busy writing articles the past couple of days. I think what I need to do is have multiple blog pages that are named as my three main categories and add category associated posts under each of those pages so they will populate with the assigned posts I am writing. I had them as blank pages which I cannot add posts to. That's where I was confused. If it doesn't make sense to you, it does to me so I think I'm good for now. I really appreciate your offer to help. -
Help needed with finding navigation structure
LucyMac replied to LucyMac's topic in Site Structure & Navigation
Thanks Derrick, I'm not comfortable with displaying my password in public and I don't think you will get much out of looking at my site, yet. I have looked over the pages and posts and what I thought would automatically connect to the blog url - example www.mydomain.com/blog/blog-post - as the blog post, is connected to another page, www.mydomain.com/page/blog-post. The name of the page is the same name as one of my categories. Is there a video tutorial that you could point me to which shows how pages are linked to the menu? -
Help needed with finding navigation structure
LucyMac replied to LucyMac's topic in Site Structure & Navigation
Hi all, I'm fairly new to working with Squarespace and have not been able to find where I can see the menu/navigation structure easily. I have blog posts under the incorrect category that need to be moved and I can't work out how to fix this. If someone can please point me in the right direction, I will be very grateful. I have searched the community area with no luck. I'm sure it's right in front of my eyes but I need help pointing it out. I worked with Wordpresss for many years and setting up the navigation structure is second nature to me there but I can't see where to do it in Squarespace. -
Sorry, double post. If moderators want to delete this one, thanks.
