  1. OK, I'm new and I don't code (is that a red flag?) I have a list of suggested improvements for Squarespace. While I'm getting used to it and figuring things out, there's a ton of stuff that is driving me a little nuts. There may be solutions I'm not aware of, and if that's the case, please edumacate me. These apply to the UI and/or to design options. 1. You should be able to use more than 2 fonts for your site. There should be more options besides just "Header" font and "Paragraph" font. 2. You should have more options to adjust those fonts: kerning, spacing, etc. For example, some fonts have overly wide/high line spacing, or overly narrow - which, if you try to adjust it, will just end up screwing up the look and feel of text lines when the page is resized or opened in mobile view. 3. There should be options (currently none, I think) to adjust the "Header" font/block that is automatically added for portfolio project navigation (and anywhere else where an element like this is automatically added). In mobile view, long project names overlap each other. There's no way to adjust this simply using the UI (that I can find). 4. There should be a better way to access my image library, than having to click on my images blocks and then "replace image". 5. Newly added portfolio project page: when adding the new project, in the settings screen, there's no option to choose an image from your library - only a new image. If you already have the image uploaded, then you are creating duplicate images, which you may later want to delete. 6. There should be the option to have different formats for different portfolios/projects, instead of one global style. For example, I may want my portfolio images to be displayed in 2 columns on one page, and in 3 or 4 on another. 7. I'm tired of having to click multiple times on a block to get different editing/settings options to appear. Why not just have all the options appear in the same tab/menu after clicking on a block once? 8. Every time I save my changes, I "exit" out to the page menu. This is annoying - I only want to save, not exit. 9. Every time I save in mobile view, it takes me back to computer view - again, annoying. 10. For some reason, whenever I edit a block of text, if there is a line added or deleted, EVERYTHING below that block shifts up or down one grid row (within the affected/edited Section). So I'm fairly frequently having to go back and shift tons of photos/blocks back into the positions I want them to be in. Hmmmm... I'm sure there's more, but those are some of the things that I'm currently finding irksome. I have not published my site yet, so no link to share.
  2. My page isn't published yet - I'm still working to lay everything out. For example, "portfolio A" I have set to 2 columns, with each project image at a 16:9 widescreen aspect ration. I cannot set a different layout for "portfolio B" (let's say 3 columns of projects, with square project images), without that change affecting "portfolio A".
  3. This does not seem to have been updated yet, to make it easier for non-coding people. I also want to customize multiple project pages within my portfolio area, but any layout changes appear to be global - very frustrating. Is there any sort of guide for CSS customizations within Squarespace? (Especially for people who have no experience with coding?)
