This is the most frustrating limitation of Member Areas (MA), and there's nothing you can do about it. No approval mechanism exists and it is not possible to add one. You can try to workaround the issue by hiding links and password protecting signup pages, but this is known as "security through obscurity" (trying to hide the security flaws). It is poor practice and won't provide any real security for your MA.
In 2021, I published the list of Member Area Limitations that I had shared with Squarespace, and this was top of the list. 
Squarespace don't routinely monitor this forum for feature requests or customer questions so, if this feature is important to your business, I recommend you contact Squarespace Customer Care to log your concern about the delay for this feature. The more they hear from customers who are affected by missing features, the easier it is for them to prioritise them.

Thanks! We're hoping for it to generate codes automatically so we don't have to manually enter hundreds of codes. That's a bummer it's not possible.
 

That's odd, try clearing your browser cache and trying again, if that doesn't help them this is probably a job for Squarespace Support:

Check your Squarespace website billing plan. To sell subscriptions you need to be on the Commerce Advanced plan.

Genuinely cannot believe this has been overlooked. Email automations are crucial to creating a good membership experience.

Should not have to get new customers to jump through additional hoops to receive standard communication about their newly purchased memberships.

I'm trying to exclude one segment of our audience from an email campaign.
We sent campaign one to a subgroup that includes some folks from our main list. 
Now we want to send a different email to the main list but exclude that subgroup.
Is this possible with sqsp?

Initially, I created a service product, which currently is “out of stock”.
I made some adjustments to the text, changing it from "out of stock" to "Coming soon."
Additionally, I activated the Wishlist functionality, enabling individuals to subscribe to email notifications and receive updates.
As for the digital products (created as services) that are currently in stock, I created an automated email that immediately goes out to customers upon their purchase. This email contains a direct link to their file.
Did that make sense?

Hi, I have the same problem of not being able to integrate Klarna. 99% of my clients are in Sweden where Klarna and Swish are dominating payment methods. Suggestions?
