  1. Hi Shanhou, what a thoughtful practice your friend is running and how nice of you to make her website! I took a look and thought the website felt incredibly polished. I did have a few suggestions for improvement: Logo on upper left: It looks almost like the “DW” and “Behavioral Health” are on different lines or maybe different font sizes Landing page’s first banner: I personally think it might look nicer if the word “women” was on the second line with “and girls” The landing page is quite long. I wonder if there’s a way to have “jump to” anchors? Consider changing the tab current entitled “Current Patients” to “Patient Portal”? I initially thought “Current Patients” was going to reveal clients, the way commercial sites like to share their existing clientele, which would of course be HIPPA non-compliant and anxiety provoking
  2. Wow, good to know! Thank you so much for calling that out, Tuan! I don't have a tablet so I forgot about the UX for these devices. I appreciate your letting me know :)
  3. Thank you so much for making the time to take a look and give me feedback, EmilyEllison! I'm delighed to know the look and content are on point :)
  4. Site URL: https://guitar-dragonfly-4xlh.squarespace.com/ Hi Squarespace community! I just piloted my first website, Junipurr Studio, a digital hub for cat parents to share resources for cat care and animal advocacy. I would love your feedback on the design (and content, if the subjects interest you)! Any feedback you'd like to share would be much appreciated. A few questions, in case specific prompts are helpful: Is the mission of the site clear? Are the color and image choices pleasing and relevant? Is the website layout logical? Resources page - It's currently a long page with anchor links. Would changing it to tabbed sections or something else be better (for mobile and desktop)? Blog main page - Is the spacing between text for each post confusing? If so, how do I change that? (The spacing menu in Design doesn't seem to allow for this level of control) Thank you for your time and expertise!
  5. Hi @bangank36! Sorry for pestering, but would you be able to advise or point me in the right direction? I have already tried the tutorial I linked to, but the problem is that I only want the magnifying glass in my main navigation (not the entire search box, which overcrowds my main navigation, especially as I already have a rectangular button for newsletter). Thank you!
  6. Congratulations on your new site! I'm a fellow new website designer, so feel free to take my feedback with a grain of salt. - Overall, clean & professional! I like both the website and packaging logos - eye-catching, relevant, and with a touch of humor - I did not immediately grasp what your website was about in the first 10 seconds, then realized you are a retailer for both wine and wine gear. I wonder if it'd be helpful to have a line or two in your header unpacking with a "wine agency" is about? Alternatively, maybe the shopping tab could be emphasized somehow in the main navigation? - News page: Lots of great content! However, the tiles are a little small and text a little big, so it felt a bit crowded to me. Maybe do 4-5 "tiles" per row instead of the current 7, and adjust the text size? - About Us: some of the photo quality seemed to be lower res and grainy All in all, looks good! Best of luck with your shop 🙂
  7. Hi @PDChappelle, ah, thank you. When I read the thread earlier, I saw a few recommendations, including for more costly options, but somehow missed the discussion on ShareThis' asethetic. I personally think it looks ok, but again, I am a novice at website design. Thanks anyway for looping me into the discussion.
  8. As a newcomer to Squarespace and website building altogether, I find it so surprising that companies would take away functionality that their customers want and they already have/had! It feel like a not-fun mind game! In any case, until Squarespace enables the share buttons for 7.1, I found this tutorial from @christyprice easy to follow. Also, it's free! https://christyprice.com/squarespace-tips-tricks/add-social-share-buttons-squarespace-blog
  9. Yes, I already tried that tutorial. The problem is that it moves the entire search box/bar to the main navigation, whereas I only want the magnifying glass.
  10. Hi @bangank36, yes, this template does not allow adding search icon to the main navigation, but I found a way to do it with code by following this tutorial: https://www.will-myers.com/articles/adding-a-search-bar-to-your-header-in-squarespace-71
  11. Hi @bangank36 thank you for your time and willingness to help! Add current search box - Sure! I added a search block in the footer of my site, directly under the logo Template - I'm using 7.1's Ventura, I believe. Thank you again!
  12. Site URL: https://guitar-dragonfly-4xlh.squarespace.com/ Hi SQSP Gurus and Veterans! I’d like to add a global search icon to my main navigation but use just a magnifying glass (not the full search bar/box). I’ve looked high and low for a tutorial here on the forum, Youtube, and Google, but the closest instructions I could find are (1) how to add the full search bar to the main navigation, and (2) how to create a separate search page. The UX I’m going for is similar to this site (annotated screenshot also attached): https://cupofjo.com/ Could you please help me with code for adding just a search magnifying glass to the header? Thank you for your time! Junipurr
