  1. Hi Paul, This is one that keeps coming up. A lot of people, including myself, use tools like Tiny png for fear of uploading files that are too big and slowing a site down. It would be great to remove this pre-compression step from the process. What would you say is the upper limit though? Would you still recommend uploading a 5mb image for instance without first compressing it?
  2. In case anyone else is having the same issue, I've found a solution to my issue described above. This free Ghost Plugin - 1 Image Per Row On Mobile, outlines code for both 7.0 and 7.1. I inadvertently copied both and my problem was solved. I am using 7.1 but when I went back and took out the 7.0 code, my issue returned. So I've left both in my CSS. It doesn't make any sense to me but may to someone else?
  3. I am having the same issue but with images. I have grid galleries with three images in a row on desktop which I want to stack in single columns on mobile. I've tried some of the code suggested in this forum and elsewhere but nothing seems to work. I need something that works universally and doesn't require targeting ids for each gallery. This page should illustrate what I mean https://www.incidentallysydney.com/blog/barrenjoey-lighthouse-palm-beach Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you
  4. Sure thing! It's on a demo template site - here is the link: https://jones-family-template.squarespace.com/?password=demo - then navigate to 'history' page. The tree there is linked to a Google sheet which just has the names shown but could obviously show more information and possibly images. You could also link it to pages for each person as shown, or in the case above, to each dog, and show images and pedigree information there.
  5. I just found this thread and have a suggestion... I used a Google sheet to create a family tree and embedded it using the Custom Tables plugin from Squarewebsites (It comes free with their pro extension) It works well, can be customised to your clients colours, fonts etc and all updates done on sheets will show on site.
  6. Thank you Tuan! As always, you have the answers. Very much appreciated, Catherine
  7. Site URL: https://www.incidentallysydney.com I've just moved my site to 7.1 and am having a bit of trouble with fonts. I am using Adorn Garland for the site tagline and for collection summary title fonts - both added using custom CSS. They are showing as I want them to in Chrome but not in Safari or IOS where font is defaulting to a set header font. Can someone please suggest how I may fix this? I've included the custom CSS coding I used below in case that helps. Thanks, Catherine // Site Title Tagline // .header-title:after { content: 'Walk with me'; font-family: adorn garland; font-size: 26px; padding-top: 14px; color: ##858585; display: block; } For collection summary title fonts I added } .collection-type-blog article .date { display: none; } h2 { font-size: 1.7em !important; font-family: adorn garland; font-weight: 400; color: #000000; }
  8. Thanks Tuan. I've sent you a message Catherine
  9. Hi Tuan, I'd like to resolve the same thing. The individual events pages are redundant for my site's needs. I have a summary block (carousel) on home page showing three upcoming events. When you click on an image or title it goes to an individual event page with pagination option to go back to all events which then takes you to events list. I would like the clickthrough from image to be straight to this list page and cut out the individual pages. Can you please tell me how to do this? The site is in trial mode (7.1) but I can send details if needed. Thanks very much Catherine
