Allow clients to make multiple appointments, in a single transaction.

How do I allow clients to book multiple appointments, one after the other, in a single transaction?

I can only find information about allowing double booking and other posters unanswered questions about this topic. To clarify: I don't want them to be able to book two appointments in the same time slot. What I want is for them to be able to book two or more appointments, one after the other, in a single transaction.

I run a real estate photography business and offer multiple services which the client will choose from. All of the selected services will then be fulfilled in one go. This seems like a very basic feature that would be needed by any business that offers multiple types of services.

Also putting these services as add-ons is a workaround. Unfortunately it looks extremely amateur and confusing from the perspective of a client.

Mitomo,

I believe you can accomplish this by unchecking "Hide Add Another Time" in the Scheduling Options page. This allows customers to add additional times on the calendar when they book. You can't use it to book additional times on other calendars, just the same one.

Tim,

Re-reading my question you did answer it exactly correctly and I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. Unfortunately I want the clients to be able to book different types of appointment in one go. So my question should have read "How do I allow clients to book multiple appointments, OF DIFFERENT TYPES, one after the other, in a single transaction".

"Hide Add Another Time" was already unchecked. Which does make it possible to book multiple of the same exact appointment.

Hopefully the below will show why I don't think it is possible to book multiple appointments of different types one after the other in one transaction.

1.  Hide Add Another Time is unchecked (so add another time is visible)HideAddAnotherTime.thumb.PNG.8eae75c08e4eb77faa343a1b7d9c5f5b.PNG

2. I choose an appointment type to book.

3. Rather than letting me select from either of the other categories Acuity takes me straight to the calendar to select a time. So I click "add a time" to add exterior photos.

4. Ok the time is added for Exterior Only Photos

5. Now left with no options to book another appointment for the aerial photos I want (pretending my jerry rigged workaround add ons weren't there) I go back to view all appointments and click "Book" next to aerial photos. I am returned to the scheduling page and all previous appointments are gone.

I really think that booking multiple appointments in one go should be quite simple but it actually seems impossible without the messy "Add to your appointment" workaround.

Speedyskis,

Sorry I can't figure out how to do it on my phone and don't have access to my desktop at the moment. I believe that it is under the add appointment types tab which I can't find on my phone.

No it isn't a good option but it is the the best one I have found so far. I think anything that makes it harder or more confusing for my customers to spend money is really bad. The whole reason for my customers to book online is to make things easier for my customers and shouldn't require extra thought or questions on their part. In addition it is a good bit of extra work to add the add ons to each and every option in your store.

For me, the lack of ability for customers to choose multiple different services in a single transaction (without a janky workaround) has put me in the market for a different scheduling service.

My final update on this topic is that I decided to disconnect Acuity from my website. I found a different service that works with people specifically doing real estate photography. I would recommend if you are finding Acuity to be lacking in features that are necessary for your industry to look for companies that cater directly to your niche.

Hey, may I ask what scheduling software you are using? I cannot keep on going through this. Thanks

I would love to know what scheduling service you are using now. I need something that allows similar options and multiple calendars.
