Just opened a website and domain, do I have an email server to create now or is that even more money?

I just spent a couple hundred to open a business account with Squarespace and admit the whole site is pretty overwhelming.  Unfortunately it seems after buying the domain and paying for 12 months of hosting I still ahve to spend another $12 a month for an email to my domain name?  Am I wrong and can I under my current plan have an email such as info@mynewsquarespacesite.net?  

Thanks, as I am looking everywhere and realizing this is almost too complex for my pretty hard thinking brain.

Squarespace is a web site hosting company. They do not host email. However they do have a partnership with Google Workspace that gives you access to email hosting.

Squarespace offer a free year of the Google Workspace Starter plan for one custom email address if you meet their eligibility requirements.

Thanks for the replies.  I will look at those links.  I admit was assuming with the cost of the business hosting you had a personalized email to the website, but looks to not be the case.  But, still learning.  Thanks.
