Background Image Glitch with Honeybook Contact Form Integration

Recommended Posts

Hello, Im really struggling to find a solution for this. The page on my website where I have my HoneyBook contact form embedded always glitches for several sections before fully loading. The glitch is especially apparent on mobile. The background image resizes several times before becoming still.

How do I prevent this glitch?

FYI Here is what Squarespace Support had to say about it:

AGENT (Audrey H.): I can see the behavior you're referring to on our end as well. See here:

Please allow me a few minutes to look into this for you, Zahra.
USER: thanks so much
USER: I've already reached out to Honeybook and they said the problem lies in the web host provider
AGENT (Audrey H.): After doing some testing on my end, I found that the issue was resolved when I disabled scripts on the preview version of your site. You can see this here:

You can learn how to disable scripts on your end here:

https://support.squarespace.com/hc/articles/205815908#toc-disable-scripts-in-preview
AGENT (Audrey H.): Because the issue was resolved by disabling scripts, the problem is being caused by custom code you’ve added to your site. Troubleshooting code falls outside our scope of support, so we can’t pinpoint the exact code responsible for the issue. I’d recommend reviewing any custom scripts you’ve added to code blocks or code injection and try removing them one at a time to determine which one is causing an issue.

While we can’t help out with this further, I’d recommend consulting the Squarespace Forum community for guidance:

It looks like this is caused by the way that the form loads in the iframe, and since the contents of the iframe are controlled by another website there's not much you can do on your website to change that.

The only thing I can see that might be fixable is that you have the height of the iframe set to 750, but the form is generally taller, test changing that 750 to 1500px and see if it still glitches. If that works you may be able to get away with a smaller value (maybe 1250px) but I would test it with a value that's definitely big enough. Let me know if that helps at all!

Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. Cheers!
