New site on 7.1 with Fluid Engine- video heavy with coded elements

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to read this and special thanks if you have any thoughts on my new site that you would like to share.

https://fashionfilms.co.uk

We create fashion & beauty content & advertisements and are based in London. This is a portfolio site that hopefully will entice new clients.

We have had a 7.0 site for a while and decided to upgrade and use iframe videos rather than gifs to animate thumbnails for links to our films.

I am particularly interested in hearing about the following user experiences:

  • Load times- the main page is quite video heavy. Is it making everything drag?
  • Design- Is the home (main portfolio) page to frantic? Does the amount of moving content drive you nuts or keep you interested?
  • Messaging- Is it clear what we do?
  • Navigation- Did you find it easy to get around?
  • Suggestions- Would love to hear any thoughts on any aspect of the site.
  • Any way of making it faster?

Thank you in advance

I seem to have a problem with some videos playing back in Safari.

The same videos work on Chrome & Firefox. It is a bit strange.

I was trying to improve page load times by swapping the link Vimeo films with lower-resolution ones. Most worked but some haven't.

Seemed to have minimal effect on the size of the page.
