Beginner Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Site URL: https://bulldog-tulip-9w7y.squarespace.com I successfully uploaded an icon to replace the Squarespace icon in my URL tab, but I didn't like how it looked, so I made a few more to try, but when I repeat the process at Design>Logo & Title, trashing the first custom favicon and replacing it with a new one, the old one is not replaced. Even when I remove the .ico file (or .png—I've experimented with both) without replacing it, so the the "Add a favicon" box there is empty, the first custom favicon STILL stays on the URL tab! I'm baffled. Any recommendations? Thank you!!!
yogap Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 (edited) - did you mean to replace the favicon in the URL? I usually go here to change my fav icon - and preferably, if you need help, then pin your website link, change it to public or use a password on your site Edited August 16, 2022 by yogap
Beginner Posted August 20, 2022 Author Posted August 20, 2022 I clearly have things to learn about this Forum too. I managed to fix my problem shortly after my first post, and I posted a message here explaining that, but for some reason it doesn't appear to be here now. The solution to the problem about changing favicons was simply to clear my cache—"browsing data"—on Google, so that when I refreshed the page, the new favicon DID show up. Thank you!

Clearing the cache to display many changes seems to be necessary. I usually open an incognito screen to view all changes I make to my site. Favicons, new blog posts, you name it.
