Transparent Sticky Header & Category Link Hovers

Hi,

My header is marked as transparent & sticky and works for maybe a millisecond then the background  goes white, how can I fix this?

I would also like my category navigation to follow the same style as my main navigation (for active links and hovers both being red) is there a ccs to enable this?

Add to Design > Custom CSS
