Archive Block Does Not Update With Content Changes

I am using the Montauk template and have been in the process of updating my blog's categories (deleting some, merging others, etc) as well as adding content pages to the blog content. However, whenever I make a change, the archive block on one of my pages does not update in real-time based on the content changes. Categories that have been renamed are still showing the old name (even though on the post itself it is correct) and when I added posts dated 2014 the archive by year block still only showed 2015 and newer posts.

Is there any known reason why an archive block displaying blog posts by year, or by category, would not automatically update with content changes?

The only thing I could think of was that I was making edits while the pages were disabled, so maybe they won't update until I re-enable them. But that doesn't seem to have worked. Any other ideas? Thanks!
