Events Page: Thumbnail sizing and date squares

Thank you for the help Tuan! I sent you an email hoping I'll get a faster response. Here is the issue I am having with after entering the css codes. I was able to make the thumbnail smaller, but now the white date tag is out of place. I would like for it to stay with the thumbnail. Also, how to make the space between the thumbnail and event info smaller?

I am trying to create a website similar to this, but for salons; connecting hair stylists with people who are looking for last minute appointments. The calendar app is not really useful for this because it’s not just one company’s schedule that I need to display, it’s multiple. I thought of tables, but I need it to automatically update with the new appointments and that is where I’m stumped. Help?
