  1. Site URL: http://alextreadway.co.uk/journal Does anyone know how to change the date format on blog pages? Right now it's: Wednesday 10.13.21 I'm in the UK so would be much better like this for example: 13th October 2021 Is there a fix somehow? Thanks Alex
  2. Site URL: http://www.outmontclair.org/events On our site's Events page (/events), the thumbnail images consistently give us problems. Most often the automatic sizing cuts off the edges of the image, either top and bottom or left and right. Is there a standard size that will always preserve the entire image? Or a piece of code that will ensure the entire image is preserved but will size it up or down appropriately to fit in the allowed box? Second, the square showing the date of the event is not wanted -- we would prefer that the date just be displayed in text on the right side of the page, with the other information about the event. We have found a piece of code that fixes this on our site's homepage but not yet on the /events page. Thank you for your help!
  3. Hi All, I'm wanting to make all my posts' dates be in the same format. For the Summary blocks the date is in DD/MM/YYYY format, which is fine. But in other sections of my site dates appear with the month spelled out as Month DD, YYYY - which I prefer. Does anyone have code to make the date format universal throughout the site? Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi! Anyone who can help me with this matter? I like to delete the share buttons and the last updated date in the forte template on the news/blogs section. I also like to get the date below the title, because in the mobile version title and date become one. this is the part i like to delete; i tried this for the shared buttons; /* Blog Page */ #view-list share-buttonss { display: none; } /* Blog Post */ #view-list share-buttonss { display: none; } also this style { .sqs-share-buttons {display: none;} .squarespace-comments {display: none;} } As for the date in the tilte i can hide it by; /* Blog Page */ .view-list .date { display: none; } /* Blog Posts */ .view-item span.date { display: none; But i don't know how to get it below the title for mobile version or for mobile and desktop if thats easier. If i dont hide it; this is wat it looks like on mobile;
  5. Site URL: http://alextreadway.co.uk/journal So I can change the font for everything on my site in CSS all except the date on the blog pages (http://alextreadway.co.uk/journal) – Any ideas anyone?
  6. Site URL: https://safest.games/impressions/endlessspace2 My category and date lines are too close to one another. I want them to have more space but have absolutely no clue on how to change it. As you can see it looks too tight at that one spot but I would still like the date and categories to be there.
  7. I'm working on a blog for a client and they'd like to have the blog post date displayed in a certain format on the blog page and blog post page. Unless I'm blind, I don't see any format/display options for dates. On the blog page itself, dates are showing up like this: 03/04/20, and on the actual blog post, the date shows up like this: Mar 4. I'd love to see ability to control date formatting (numbers, month names, hide year, show year, change the delimiters, etc). At the very least, be consistent across pages!
  8. Site URL: http://www.snakegoddess.com Hi all, On my website http://www.snakegoddess.com on the single blog post page the date say Mar 20. I want it to say Mar 20, 2020 How can I change this?
  9. Hello, I'm updating the design on my website and I'm trying to only display the Year in the date field of y blog posts. At the moment, it's "Jan 15, 2021" for example. But I just want it to display "2021". Any ideas? I'm using the template Foundry. Thanks, Eze
  10. I'm designing a website for a newspaper that is published monthly and I'd like the blog post dates to display just the month and year, not the individual day. I'm not sure where to get started custom code to get this done. Has anyone had success customising this in 7.1?
  11. I'm in the process of setting up a family website to feature old photos and home movies (images from 1900 on). A blog format would seem to be ideal for this, so that on an index page I could add summary blocks that would sort by date, or by who's in each photo, etc. But I'm running into trouble as I'm trying to date these posts, as Squarespace's scroll-through calendar (to "schedule" or "publish" posts) doesn't allow for any dates earlier than January 1, 1970. Is there some kind of work-around for this? I guess I could date each post using a "tag" or some other data, but ideally it'd be great for the post itself to have a date that corresponds with the content of the old family photos. Thanks for any advice you can offer!
  12. Site URL: http://www.takitreats.com Hi, We sell boxes of hand prepared pet treats on our website, and would like to explore a way that limits how many orders we can take each day. Is there a way we can customize the scheduling function or other plugins that we can use to include this function on our website? So a little more details. Each box of treats takes 36 hours to make, and our production is limited at present time. We are unable to meet demands when is a spike in orders, resulting in unhappy customers. I'd like to explore a system where I can set a limit to how many boxes of treat I can prepare each day (e.g. 20 boxes a day), and let the customer know the next available date during check out. This way they know with more certainty when to expect delivery and I can minimize delayed deliveries.
  13. Site URL: https://www.alternatorcentre.com/archive-1 Does anyone know how I can remove these date squares from the thumbnail images on this page? Everything else is fine on the page but the images are really important, so these little cubes taking over the corners is driving me nuts!
  14. Hello, sometimes I need to add past news or older blog posts but the date picker doesn't allow to enter the date. You have to click thousand times to arrive to a desired date, for example: October 1985. Thanks
  15. I'm trying to add a date field within a form and every time Squarespace inserts a password field instead. Any help would be appreciated!
  16. Site URL: https://www.likeneonlove.com/ Is there any code I can use that will change the date format of my blog posts? At the moment, my latest post reads "Apr 15", but I'd like it displayed as "15 April". I managed to change the format of my summary block using the below script, but I can't seem to get it working for my actual blog page. I'm using the Skye template. It's honestly infuriating that Squarespace STILL doesn't cater to its international customers. Having flexibility in changing date formats, US-based or not, should be a given for any website service! <script> // Changes the format of date on summary items var myObj = document.getElementsByClassName('summary-metadata-item--date'); var options = { year: 'numeric', month: 'long', day: 'numeric' }; for (var i = 0; i < myObj.length; ++i) { var item = myObj[i]; var date = new Date(item.innerHTML); item.innerHTML = date.toLocaleDateString('en-GB', options); } </script>
  17. Site URL: https://www.spitalfieldscityfarm.org/whats-on My date tag for event items displays on the top right of the thumbnail and I keep this in mind when creating event thumbnails. Unfortunately, the date tag moves to the top left side on small screens - how do I stop this from happening? Any help would be appreciated!!
  18. My company has a reservation site where customers can choose which of our locations they would like to reserve a spot at. From there, they would be able to reserve a time and date at that location and pay for our digital package. How can I incorporate this on my site?
  19. Site URL: https://www.kfcmandelunited.be/inschrijvingen-unfinished Hello everyone, I would like to change the formatting of my date to DD MM YYYY, as we don't do the mm/dd format in Belgium. Could anyone help me with this? as most of the documentation i have found online is either outdated or not working.. thank you in advance!
  20. Site URL: http://oshkoshwestbands.com/concerts/2021-spring-concert-1 Hello, I'd like to remove the post title and date from the header of individual blog posts on my site, which uses the Impact template. I found custom CSS code to remove the title, but I've been unsuccessful finding the correct code to remove the date. Does anyone have some insight on how to accomplish this? Thank you! (I'd like to remove the date in light gray below.)
  21. Ladies and Gents, does anyone know how to / is able to add a feature of changing the date when customer's subscription is charged? my customers buy on our site for the first time and automatically subscribe, that's the only option. however, before we start preparing the next delivery, we check with the customer if they need it this month. they can postpone without charge. id they do, i obviously don't want to charge them. but squarespace doesn't offer that option. i have to cancel the whole subscription of that customer. so rubbish customer experience. does anyone have a ready solution? or is able to write one? or maybe there is a different way (e.g. manage subscriptions through stripe? it's our payment processor, they have the service called billing, but i have no idea if it's possible to make it happen and how to set up squarespace and stripe in that case to do it) thanks! Damian
  22. Site URL: https://www.realfoodkitchen365.com/valentines-order-form It's another date formatting issue in my form section. I have amended the layout to show DD/MM/YY but when tab between it misses out MM entirely. Also when the form is submitted to the linked email address it changes the format back to American. Any way to sort this? Also because i'm a total newbie, i'm attempting to add numeric value to the food options given, can this be done in the form I am using? Option to select a a number of items not just tick box. Thanks to anyone that can help me. Also if a Date Picker resource pops up I cannot pay for a date picking plug-in as it is a work website.
  23. Site URL: https://www.amaraleaders.com I want to format the blog date to display as MM/YYYY instead of MM/DD/YYY. I have found solutions for rearranging the format, but not eliminating portions of it. Is it possible?
  24. Site URL: https://frog-deer-fjt6.squarespace.com/tmc-dancers-profie Hi all, does anyone know the custom CSS to hide the blog date for blog posts and event pages below? https://frog-deer-fjt6.squarespace.com/tmc-dancers-profie Blog post example page: https://frog-deer-fjt6.squarespace.com/bios/sonam-patel Template Ethan.
  25. Site URL: http://www.burnthoneybakery.com.au I own a bakery and would like to set up online ordering for bread and pastries with pickup date and time required to place the order. However, we're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and not all breads and pastries are available every day so I'd like to add parameters to the order form to prevent customers from ordering items on days they're not available, from selecting a pickup time outside our trading hours, and preventing them from ordering within 48 hours of the pickup time. Is this possible with squarespace ecommerce? I'd also like to do the same for a bread subscription option.
