Hi, I was wondering if you could help me please, as I am a bit stumped.
I've changed the site header layout to the logo on top and the navigation links underneath, but I can't figure out how to create a background the width of the navigation section, but so it is only just taller than the navigation text themselves, and the rest of the site header white, like this:

I've tried creating my own banner with a black border on the bottom and using custom files and CSS code (didn't work), I've had a search on here, but could only find borders either side. I've tried adding a whole new section with linked text, and placing it below the header (but then realised I had the issue of it not "sticking" to the top with the site header/logo, so the other sections scrolled under it...and so wondered if just placing background just in the nav links section would be easier..it isn't!). I've had a go in the custom CSS with backgrounds, margins, border width, padding, all sorts! but I'm at a loss.
The website isn't published yet, and I'm helping someone else with it, so can't give out login information unfortunately. I hope the link to the website above gives an idea of I'm trying to do though! Thank you!
