I have quite a few pictures underneath the "Contact info" on my website (an online portfolio/CV), having submitted several Google indexing requests in Google search console. I first used a gallery, but realized Google didn't index the images in it. I then added all the images as individual blocks. The images have unique filenames and metadata, but there is still nothing on Google after several weeks and indexing requests. 
When I look at what Google has crawled, the images all show up under "more info" as "couldn't be loaded". See screenshot. 
Does this mean SquareSpace is totally useless when it comes to having images showing up on a Google images-search? 

I'm wondering the same thing. I just created a full artist portfolio site, and in my Google Search console I'm seeing "150 pages not indexed".
On further inspection, it appears that these "pages" are just the artist's images.

We are finding that Google does not index Squarespace gallery photos - even though they are properly tagged, etc. The website has been live for over two months, and the site and page images do show up in Google Search but not photos in image galleries. Is this is problem with Squarespace - does anyone else have this problem? Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to use image stacks with PNGs, but Squarespace is adding a faint color behind them. I tried testing all of the different image blocks and inline was the only one that didn't put a color behind the images (but it squished them). What is the issue here? Just a bug?

My page editing time is unbelievably slow. Definitely costing time. It's been this way for MONTHs. Especially when trying to sell clients on how great Squarespace is and then they're looking at a blank screen for seconds on end in the page editor and suffice to say, they are NOT impressed. 
After a certain point, this becomes untenable.

So I have been having a very similar issue (maybe the same issue).   I've struggled getting indexed.   DIYer here. 

I finally realized in google search console last week that several of my blog articles and my Categories & Tags are not indexed.   Found the error on the blog about not being in the property.   So I added to the property the path to the blog itself.    Today I see some indexed but not all.

In my stress, I have been trying to get info from SEO groups -- and one kind soul suggested SEMRush and actually ran a report for me.  I see lots of errors -- javascript and css to which I have no clue how to fix (or even if I added them).   Temporary redirect, which I don' know how I did those either.

I see a lot of 503 errors that I don't understand.

That report seems to ding me for no meta descriptions on Tags and Categories -- which I'm told I cannot do in SQP.

I have been working on low hanging fruit this morning like broken links, missing descriptions, etc -- work in progress.   But I feel like there are some big errors I need to fix.  I just don't know how.

Wondering WHY SQS would remove this functionality? Ever heard of a sales page?! 😂

It was possible to add this to a Button Block, but it no longer is. 
As a workaround you can create the button manually using HTML within a Code Block.
To do this:
Add a Code Block where you want the button to appear.  Set it to Mode: HTML and ensure the Display Source Code option is disabled.
Here's an example:

Does anyone know how to hide dates from Google search results?? My metadata dates are turned off, so they don't display on my site, but the publish date still shows up in Google search. TIA!!

I noticed there is quite a bit of padding in between sections that creates a ton of white space and emptiness. How can I reduce the padding in between all sections to make for a seamless website?
This is for my web portfolio showcasing designs and project details. I've been experiencing difficulty fitting slideshows, simple images, and plain text boxes without too much padding in between sections. Thank you!

Hi Tuanphan, this code worked for me, but it is giving me trouble for sections where I use an inset section background. 
Here is an example:
I'd like to reduce the white space between these two color blocks (pictured below).
However, when I use the code you provided, it reduces the padding between the content within the color blocks and the top/bottom edge of the color block, but it does not reduce the white space between the two color blocks (see second screenshot, below). 

I'd like to keep the padding between the content within the color blocks and the top/bottom edge of the color blocks, and only reduce the white space between the color blocks. Could you help with this?

I am using Squarespace 7.1 and need to remove vertical padding from sections - i.e. where sections join other sections. I imagine I'm not the only one thinking there is too much white space as a default and I can't find a way to remove it. 
Any ideas? I'm a new squarespace user and unfamiliar with custom css but will go down that road if needed.
