Tanaeja
I'm experiencing an issue with the blog pagination on my Squarespace 7.1 site. I've limited the number of blog posts displayed per page to 6. However, when I click the "Older Posts" button, the entire page refreshes instead of loading more posts dynamically. This forces me to scroll back down to where the section is at the bottom of the page, which isn't an ideal user experience. I'm looking for a solution where clicking "Older Posts" does not refresh the entire page, allowing visitors to stay in the same section while older posts load after the current ones. Is there a way to resolve this to keep the user in place when loading older posts? Thanks in advance for your help! Link to comment
Solution Spark-Plugin Posted September 27 Solution Share Posted September 27 Hello @Tanaeja. This is currently not possible. You can try using a Summary Block, though it might not be the best option. Alternatively, you can use a plugin—what you’re looking for is called "infinite scrolling." A quick search online should help you find some free or paid plugins. Hope this helps, and have a great weekend! Beyondspace 1 - Answered by Iuno from sparkplugin.com Link to comment
Tanaeja
Thanks @Spark-Plugin for providing the name of what I'm looking to achieve, I'll search around and see if I come across a good plugin. I'll be sure to come back and link it to this thread if there are others looking to do this. Link to comment

This is the expected behaviour on blogs. As mentioned above, you'd need some fairly complex code if you want to prepend more items to the existing page as you scroll down or click "load more". The good news is that there's a popular paid plugin available called Lazy Summaries (affiliate link) from Squarewebsites that can do this with blog posts when displayed with a Summary Block.
