  1. Site URL: http://addisonstreetspa.com/book-private I deployed a Mindbody widget using a code box, and the widget displays fine but is not clickable. Mindbody support says to disable ajax loading, but Squarespace v7.1 does not support ajax loading, so this fix is no longer applicable. Has anyone had this problem and found a fix for it??
  2. can we connect to apis from java springboot or asp.net application, that will be from another domain?
  3. Hello, I'm working on doing some refreshes to an existing 7.0 site, so I made a copy to test some things out on. You can find it at: https://clownfish-manatee-ngnn.squarespace.com/ password: mhf On the Dahlia Tubers / Dahlia Shop page I added the following code in header code injection to 1) insert a custom header that was different from the rest of the site 2) hide some header elements and 3) add a border and shadow to the body of the page. (Forgive the inline styles, while I assigned a class I did not add any CSS here as this was a quick mockup). <div class="custom-header" style="width: 100%; text-align: center; background-color: #4a574b; color: white; vertical-align: center; line-height: .5em;"> <p>Morey Hill Farm</p> <h1 style="color: white;">DAHLIA SHOP</h1> <p style="padding-bottom: 20px;"><a href="/home">Return to Main Site</a> | <a href="/cart">Cart</a></p></div> <style>.Header-inner, .mobile-bar { display: none !important; } .Main {padding-top: 0px; border-radius: 10px; -webkit-box-shadow: 3px 4px 2px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.45); -moz-box-shadow: 3px 4px 2px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.45); box-shadow: 3px 3px 2px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.45);} .Main-content {padding-top: 50px;} </style> It's displaying on desktop as expected (haven't worked on the mobile header elements fully). The problem I'm having is when visiting the dahlia page then navigating to other pages, specifically the homepage which is actually an index page, the code seems to still be loading and breaking the banner image. The image should be displaying as a full-screen bleed as seen at moreyhillfarm.com Any ideas? P.S. Ajax loading is currently disabled but it seems to be an issue if it's on or not.
  4. I'm trying to do a super simple page load with ajax: $.ajax({ url: 'https://subdomain.squarespace.com/somesspage, type:'GET', success: function(data){ $('#container-to-load').html(data); var images = document.querySelectorAll('img[data-src]' ); for (var i = 0; i < images.length; i++) { ImageLoader.load(images[i], {load: true}); } } }); The issue is that slideshow section appears blank, only arrows appear: Is there a function / hack to make this type of sections work after loading via ajax?
  5. So I developed a solution that is hosted on Azure. This service dynamically creates images based on user input. I want to make sure that others don't embed my link into their page. Basically I need a mechanism to authenticate HTTP requests on my server to ensure they came from my SquareSpace website. My initial thought was that I could use a shared secret, like it used for the API integrations but I don't know how to get SquareSpace to hash something and stick it in the front-end for me. How can I get something hashed or is there a hash value that is already included in some variable some place that I can send along and verify?
  6. Hello I have a Calendly Integration on a webpage that doesn't load properly unless I disable AJAX loading. The thing is that I want AJAX loading enabled, so I would like to paste some code in the heading of the page using Page Injection that disable AJAX loading for this single page. Can anyone help me with the exact code needed to do this? Thanks in advance
  7. Site URL: https://dachshund-apricot-e6ab.squarespace.com/ Hi Guys! I am trying to load a page's content into another page's specific div. The content is loading perfectly only trouble is that the image and videos are not appearing. PASSWORD:1234 Target Page (on which the content has to be displayed): Target Page 2 — Overbound (squarespace.com) Source Page (whose content has to be displayed): Source Page 2 — Overbound (squarespace.com) My Code: <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.5.1.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#collection-62925dc5a8b48b3bc07393bd section[data-section-id=62925dc5a8b48b3bc07393bf]").load("https://dachshund-apricot-e6ab.squarespace.com/source-page-2 #page"); }); </script> What could be the solution? Thanks in advance
  8. I want to be able to link xml data. I’m following along a tutorial for Ajax with Mozilla and I know it works. I also know other people have had success with Mercury, but, whenever I try to do it, it fails. Can someone please walk me through that and how to get the exact path to use for the Ajax file?
  9. I'm creating a GET request from my square space site to Big commerce using ajax API call. But facing 401 unauthorized error. I've attached my code I'm using right now - hope someone can help me out of this problem. const username = "username"; const password = "password"; function make_base_auth(user, password) { var tok = user + ':' + password; var hash = btoa(tok); return "Basic " + hash; } $.ajax({ url: "https://api.bigcommerce.com/stores/{store-hash}/v3/catalog/products", async: true, crossDomain: true, beforeSend: function(xhr) { xhr.setRequestHeader('Authorization', make_base_auth(username, password)); }, headers: { "X-Auth-Client": "secret-key", "X-Auth-Token": "token", "Content-Type": "application/json", "cache-control": "no-cache", }, type: "GET", dataType: "jsonp", success: function(data) { console.log(data) } }); ..
  10. Site URL: https://www.flowfitstudio.com/schedule I have a Vagaro booking widget embedded on my site that won't load. The interesting part is that it loads when I view on mobile and disconnect from wifi, but does not load when viewing on desktop or on mobile when connected to wifi. I've researched this issue and have tried manually disabling Ajax loading by adding the following code to the Header box under Code Injection: <script src="https://content1.getnarrativeapp.com/ss-ajax-loader.js"></script> I tried doing it this way because I do not see the option to disable Ajax loading under Site Styles. This unfortunately did not fix the issue for me. Here is the page: https://www.flowfitstudio.com/schedule Here is the embed data: <div id='frameTitle' class='embedded-widget-title' style='font-size: 23px; color: #333;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height:24px; padding: 18px 10px 8px; text-align: center; -webkit-box-sizing: border-box; -moz-box-sizing: border-box; box-sizing: border-box;'></div> <div class="vagaro" style="width:250px; padding:0; border:0; margin:0 auto; text-align:center;"><style>.vagaro a {font-size:14px; color:#AAA; text-decoration:none;}</style><a href="https://sales.vagaro.com/">Powered by Vagaro</a>&nbsp;<a href="https://sales.vagaro.com/salon-software">Salon Software</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://sales.vagaro.com/spa-software">Spa Software</a>&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;<a href="https://sales.vagaro.com/fitness-software">Fitness Software</a><script type="text/javascript" src="https://www.vagaro.com//resources/WidgetEmbeddedLoader/OZqnDJWqD3OcT3qnV3Dy6ZuQlXiz3avV34mC2PeFJ4mC30m9dSycXCu7gevEhAJDXwQ0?v=yMoWiANQbQzJAwksZ6jK1qT2t5vTDseu1XI5dLITxoyW#"></script></div>
  11. Site URL: https://www.pestack.com/vendor-profiles I use a Ajax-based third party application called Knack which I use to power a database platform with many pages. I host this content on my Squarespace page via an embed block. The problem is that Squarespace does not generate the hundreds of pages in this database platform within the sitemap, and Google is therefore not picking up any of these pages. All that the sitemap shows is the URL for the single page where the embed is. This is bad for SEO! Is there some piece of code or approach I can use to get Squarespace to generate the pages within the sitemap? Any help or tips greatly appreciated! Thanks
  12. Squarespace AJAX page loading kills scripts on page. They will not load without a page refresh. Code written to every page initialized with the redirect value will just cause a redirect loop... How do I write a script that doesn't redirect the page initially that is in the header and LISTENS for an AJAX page refresh... and THEN gets reinitialized with a new value to redirect the page? (I've actually asked this question already but my posts aren't getting answered at all, so I'm starting to wonder what the coding and customization board is for if one can't ask a coding and customization question...)
  13. Site URL: https://indigo-chipmunk-42dl.squarespace.com/config/ Hi, I am creating a site and i want to have a folder which when the title of folder is clicked in the navigation bar, it redirects to a page I have tried injecting javascript code for a redirection but it isn't working and I can't seem to make the folder clickable When reading around the subject, I seen people were saying ajax loading needs to be disabled. However for my site i cannot seem to find this option in design. I don't know if its the template I am already using does not support ajax Does anyone have a current way around this?
  14. Hi I have added page code injection to a number of pages on my clients site to change the background colour: <style> section {background-color: #ffffff;!important;} </style> But now the site is live, it only seems to work if you refresh the page. Can I convert that style code to css code? Thanks!
  15. Site URL: https://www.onlinekarma.ch/ It would be great if you could enable Ajax Loading (asynchronous JavaScript and XML) aka. Lazy Loading for the Bedford Template. Are there plans to implement this? It would help for page-speed and thus SEO. Thank you.
  16. What’s up everyone, I was wondering if anyone in the community would know how to implement a “lazy load” or “Ajax load” so that images load when they’re appeared instead of right when the page loads. I think https://grovemade.com looks super cool, I think they’re using JavaScript to load a super small version of their images then adding a CSS blur so the perceived load time is a lot faster. Can this be done with a Squarespace template?
  17. Site URL: https://www.dexterlakeclubband.com/ On my homepage I have two code blocks that won't load properly. Both display beautifully after I refresh the page. One is an Instagram post that I've used the embed code from IG, the second is a review widget from Wedding Wire. I know the likely issue is Ajax loading being enabled on my Brine Template. However, I don't want to disable ajax-loading for my entire site. Can anyone help me with changes to the html or code so that these elements will be "ajax-enabled" and load properly the first time?
  18. Site URL: https://mommytomom.com/ Hi everyone. I would like to enable Ajax loading on my site but it doesn't work with my social sharing buttons and code I use on a few pages. I am not very knowledgeable with coding so I wanted to ask here if there is anything I can do. Is there a code you can add that makes the page refresh each time? I disabled Ajax for now but can turn it back on to troubleshoot if needed. The social buttons I'm referring to are through Shareaholic, they only show up if you refresh the page. Thanks in advance for any help :) Code injection <!-- BEGIN SHAREAHOLIC CODE --> <link rel="preload" href="https://cdn.shareaholic.net/assets/pub/shareaholic.js" as="script" /> <meta name="shareaholic:site_id" content="73ca7139ab230a40546bce24cbe1c713" /> <script data-cfasync="false" async src="https://cdn.shareaholic.net/assets/pub/shareaholic.js"></script> <!-- END SHAREAHOLIC CODE --> The other code I'm referring to I only have on my secondary navigation pages that I want to look like landing pages. It removes the header and footer. https://mommytomom.com/want-to-work-from-home Pages settings, advanced <style> .Header, .Footer, .Mobile-bar, .Mobile-bar--top, .sqs-announcement-bar-custom-location{ display:none !important; } </style>
  19. Site URL: https://www.sculptedbybee.com/ I have installed a sentry log in widget that is functional to a point, however it does not disappear after logging you in nor does it land you on the correct page. I have to manually close the log in box and choose the member page. My squarespace template does not have a disable ajax option, is there a workaround?
  20. Hi, Am using contact form on Squarespace. After form submission gets all values in a javascript file. Tried below ways: POST-SUBMIT REDIRECT -> http://rpadmanaban-dev.apptivo.net/create.js This field did not accept the script file Another Way: Code injection fields ->this script called the form reload functionality. I need after submission called the script file
  21. I'm using Markdown to create an expanding accordion menu. When you first view the page, the text is hidden. You can click to expand a drop down accordion menu that displays nested text. The issue is that the expanded text messes up the way elements below it on the page display. It looks like the images and backgrounds below the markdown do not respond to the expanded text and remain in their initial position, but the text below the markdown does respond to the expanded text and moves further down the page. The result is that the text appears to overlay or overflow on top of the content beneath the markdown. I already contacted Squarespace support and they verified that this issue was not a known issue, that it is not currently in the works for resolution, and that it has nothing to do with my custom CSS. They suggested I ask the forum, so I'm coming to you guys! The structure for the site I'm using to illustrate this is as follows:Brine templateIndex with pagesSolid color blocks are their own pagesFull bleed images with parallax are their own pages with the image set as the background for the page Here is the Markdown basic structure: <details> <summary>Click to expand!</summary> content goes here </details> Illustrated on this Github forum here: https://gist.github.com/pierrejoubert73/902cc94d79424356a8d20be2b382e1ab I saw in other questions that some issues with Markdown could be resolved by disabling Ajax loading. I have disabled it and still see the issue. Would love some help with this! Website: teese.squarespace.comPassword: teese
  22. Hi everyone, I've inserted the following HTML code block into my section: <html> <form action="https://getform.io/f/061fe877-cd4b-4e98-9f70-f5fb2eeb3716" method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data" style="background-color:#005019"> <h3 align="center" style="border:white; border-width:5px; border-style:solid"><b>Submit your application here:</b></h3> <table> <tr> <td align="right"><b>First Name:</b></td> <td align="left"><input type="text" name="First Name:" required > </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="right"><b>Last Name:</b></td> <td align="left"><input type="text" name="Last Name:" required > </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="right"><b>Phone Number:</b></td> <td align="left"><input type="tel" name="Phone Number:" required ></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="right"><b>Email Address:</b></td> <td align="left"><input type="email" name="Email Address:" required ></td> </tr> </table> <p align="center"> <input type="file" name="files[]" multiple required> </p> <p align="center"> <button type="submit"><b>Submit</b> </button> </p> </form> </html> Which generates the following form: Upon filling out the form and clicking submit, I receive an email with the submitted information -- however, the website page that the form is submitted on just goes blank, when it should be redirecting to the following URL: https://getform.io/thank-you. It seemingly also gets stuck on that blank page because when I refresh it, it still remains blank. Instead of redirecting, I think it would be nice if the form would just display something like 'thank you, your submission has been received'. Unfortunately, I'm uninformed when it comes to anything related to coding and basically pieced the above HTML together using Google search results. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!
  23. Hi all, So, I use quite a few plugins on my website. All of these plugins call a different version of the ajax library. What is the reason for this? Is it because they will only work with the specific version or is it simply that at the time the plugin was developed, that was the latest version available? Multiple ajax libraries choke the browser and slow the website down. Can this be remedied by simply using the latest version of the ajax library? Thanks Akanksha
  24. Site URL: https://www.harborcarenh.org/ Hi folks, Longtime fan, first-time caller here. I inherited responsibilities for a Squarespace website and am much more familiar with Joomla, WordPress and Drupal, but I've found this forum a huge help. The native Squarespace search engine on this website doesn't work well. I suspect this is due to the architecture of the website -- with LONG index pages containing many other pages, the end result being that the core is somehow confused -- but I thought a workaround would be to install a Google Programmable Search on the site. I've always found that using Google products improves search results, but that may be voodoo. Unfortunately, I can add the code for this search bar to inside pages (and they load fine), but whenever I bring those pages to the primary navigation or footer position, the system loads a page without the search. Again, this is a guess, but I believe this is an AJAX loading issue conflicting with the Google script. This is what the Google code looks like: <script async src="https://cse.google.com/cse.js?cx=93d5adf5b23ee11a5"></script> <div class="gcse-search"></div> Has anyone experienced this issue? Or can anyone suggest why the Squarespace search engine is fairly inept? Thanks, Randy
  25. Site URL: https://www.losremediosdelayayacbd.com/ good morning, I have a problem with my website. When I refresh the web or access any page of the website, a text appears (script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.3/jquery.min.js">) at the top of the web (both in the squarespace web editor and when I do it once the web is published in google). I would like to remove this text that is quite annoying and aesthetically looks very bad and unprofessional. pd: I hope that changing it will not modify any aspect of the web. thank you!!!
