WHEBRU
I came to learn SS sitemap is not reliable. Can we not use an online sitemap generator and just introduce that xml file to google search console? At least, it will show the very current state of the site and we don't need to worry about/check whether all the changes we make are immediately/properly reflected on a SS sitemap. Has anyone tried this? Or am I missing something here? SEOSpace_Henry 1 Link to comment

Collaborada
Yes, if you need to add another sitemap for some reason, you can upload it to your files and submit it to GSC. But it will be less work to check your SS sitemap periodically versus maintaining your own sitemap. Keep in mind, Google has access to your SS sitemap as it is in your robots.txt file -- you could create issues for yourself if the two sitemaps conflict. If your SS sitemap is not updating, reach out to Support and ask them to regenerate it. Beyondspace 1 Have SEO questions? Chances are we've written about it!
