We have several testimonial videos that we would like the user to be able to sort through. I've created a blog, used tags, and then the summary block to make this happen. I hoped to replace the summary block's thumbnail with a playable video. derricksrandomviews Posted February 29 Share Posted February 29 The Link is to a WordPress site. I don't think that the client testimonials are in a typical blog summary block. I think it is either a custom-designed page with a link to a separate page for each video or the summary blocks are pulling from a gallery-like page that allows videos in the excerpt. With code you might be able to substitute an image with a video but I wouldn't bet on it here. Beyondspace 1 Link to comment
johnbuedel Posted February 29 Author Share Posted February 29 Thanks, Derrick! Yes, I realize the example is a WP site. I was just hoping to replicate the idea in SS. The main goal for us is to be able to have the sort filter. I accomplished this by using tags in the blog feature. I'm trying to avoid custom-coding a page, but as you stated, that may be what we have to do in order to have a playable video in the summary block. I appreciate your feedback! derricksrandomviews Posted February 29 Share Posted February 29 (edited) After looking at the site, I think the testimony page is a standard page with text blocks and image blocks. Each image block shares the same link as the more button under the text which is a link to the full-sized video on its own page. I based that on the URL of each full-sized video.
