bcdiver Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) Hi all, I've created a floating button using HTML and CSS copied and then adjusted (to fit our website theme) from a blog. It seems to work fine except when the page is accessed from our home page. If you go: https://www.rowandsreef.com/ > Courses > Enriched Air Diver Specialty - the floating button doesn't appear straight away. If you then refresh the page it appears. If you access the page via a direct link https://www.rowandsreef.com/enriched-air then the button appears straight away. Was just wondering if anyone could help me understand why this is happening and how to fix it so the button appears straight away, no matter the route taken to get to the page. Thanks Edited February 2 by bcdiver
Solution paul2009 Posted February 2 Solution Posted February 2 2 hours ago, bcdiver said: I've created a floating button using [code]. If you...refresh the page it appears. This is because your code hasn't been written to work with the Ajax Page Loading that is enabled on the Squarespace 7.0 Brine-based website. Code loaded in the header or footer isn't reloaded when you move between pages unless you disable this feature. Please see my guide here: Why does Squarespace code only work on refresh? bcdiver Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 (edited) Ok, thanks for having a look and sharing your guide. I've re-added it as a code block and it's now working 👍 Edited February 2 by bcdiver
