I need to put a gallery on top of a background and next to some text

I want to put a scrollable block of text to the left of a gallery. I want to use an image carousel and then overlay both elements on top of the same background. I can merge the two sections and put the side-by-side, but then the background won't work. I can do it like how it's currently done, but then they're not side-by-side on one page. I've been working and reworking on this for days now and I need help

So, Left is regular section, right is carousel. I went ahead and drew a terrible mockup that shows the alignment I'm trying to achieve. Thanks in advance for your help

Looks like you need a Gallery block to place it side-by-side with the text block. Checkout out Classic Gallery block to insert gallery block to section
