Why is my bounce rate 85%?

Hi all,

my website on squarespace: https://top5slaapmiddelen.nl/

I get most of my leads from a google ads campaign, but have a 85% bounce rate. Is that normal?

I feel that is way to high. Any advice?

I've used Google Lighthouse but the reasons given all lead to high image size (LCP) on homepage, but that image is only 100kb big? All other factors for slow load speed lead to Squarespace code etc...

This would suggest that you are either not targeting the right demographic, or your landing page for from the google ad doesn't fulfil the expectation of the user clicking.

Are you using dedicated landing pages for the ad campaigns?
