SarahPiano Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 Website: https://friendsofminnesotaorchestra.org/ On the home page, I have a summery block for News and Upcoming events. News is drawing from a blog page and Upcoming events is coming from an event page. If I allow excerpt the option to add a read more button doesn't show up. But the read more link shows up on the News page. I'm not sure why it is working on some and not others. Help? I would like a read more button on the upcoming event summary.
melody495 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Hi, can you check Read More is enabled? Click on edit on your summary block -> Design -> Read More Link. Try and let me know how it goes. -------- > 👆 <---------- Please quote or @ me when replying, or I won't get a notification Melody | Squarespace Nerd 💻 💁♀️ 1-2-1 Squarespace Training session <- feeling stuck and want to learn? 👩💻 💁♀️ Website help <- send me your to-do list. I do use the Lazy Summary Plugin but on another summary on the page, the read more link shows up. Does the read more link not work on events?

tuanphan Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Event Summary doesn't support Read More Link, if you need to add a read more, you can add it in Excerpt Or add this to Website Tools (under Not Linked) > Custom CSS to fake read more link div#block-yui_3_17_2_1_1698177917931_6440 { .summary-title a:after { content: "read more"; position: absolute; bottom: -40px; left: 0; color: var(--tweak-summary-block-secondary-metadata-color); font-size: 13px; font-family: var(--body-font-font-family); } .summary-content { position: relative; }} Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.).
