HELP: CAN I SET UP A MEMBERS ONLY WEBSTORE?

Hello everyone,

I need to set up a web store in a bit of a hurry and as I am familiar with Squarespace it seems like a workable solution.
The main issue is that whilst all products can be seen by anyone on the web, I need to have prices and ordering available to members only. I need to set up a registration form for users to apply for membership, which I will then approve manually. Once approved, a member can log in and access prices + place orders.

In a perfect world I would like users to provide information during registration which would then be automatically used upon approval (first name, last name, email, phone, address, preferred payment method (stripe or bank transfer), etc).

Is anyone able to tell me if this is going to be a nightmare to set up or fairly easy?

I'm not sure which features you plan to use but here's a heads up about a couple of points you mentioned:

• anyone can join a member area, so you'll need to go through quite a few hoops to try to prevent this.
• a password-protected store page may be helpful (see this thread)
• 'bank transfer' is not a payment option on Squarespace

Thank you Paul, I thought it would be a bit of a stretch to do it with SP. Shame.
