Shipping worldwide - not limited to one country only (by default)

My site is in Australia. My friend in the US is trying to buy one of my books off the site. I can only select one default country for shipping and billing addresses - Australia - which means she cannot enter her US details. How can I overcome that so that I can ship worldwide? This is what I see and can select on my site:

Default country in address fields

Pre-select a country for shipping and billing addresses.

If your friend cannot enter a US address, it usually indicates that a shipping profile has not been added for this country. Although you can set a default address, if one of your shipping profiles includes the US (or "Rest of the world") then other countries should be available for them to select.

You can check your shipping profiles in Commerce > Shipping. You'll see that each shipping option lists the countries to which it applies.
