I'm having this problem as well. I embedded a MailerLite form and have a large space after the form. I tried using the Custom CSS provided and refreshed the page but it didn't work:

Did you reside the block after adding the CSS?

I didn't but I've resized it now and it's perfect, thank you!

Great! It's a two-step procedure, glad that's working for you now!

Hi there,

Thanks for this, that was very helpful! I've recently taken over a community website so I am new to SquareSpace!

There are 3 embedded scripts, but they appear to be the same on every page (it's a review plugin). If I copied the code from the 3 embedded scripts, then added them to the "code injection" section, would that in effect do the same thng? That way I can simply delete these empty section and manage from one place?

Thanks in advance.

I can't say for sure since I don't have any knowledge of your website, but I can tell you that placing code in a code block on a page will (depending on the code) have a quite different effect.

If you have reviews embedded on a page in a code block, moving that to the global code injection will likely place that code on every page somewhere in the header or footer, which is probably not what you want.

Hi. Our built in domain is rhombus-cat-2bw9.squarespace.com. I am having spacing issues with embedding a script. I am trying to add 'badges' (see photo) from Altmetric for many of our science publications. However in editing view it is taking up way to much room. It is kind of ok on the website... until I decided I wanted each year to be its own section so that moving everything will be easier in the future. When I put 2024 into its own section this is the smallest I could make it. I really only want it take up the 4/5 lines that the text and badge take up. I tried putting the ccsl code in, refreshed, and tried resizing after it and it didn't change anything. Please help.

Please help.

You haven't copied/pasted the code into Custom CSS correctly, you are missing a closing curly bracket.

Can you try this Custom CSS to hide the warning message?

html.squarespace-damask .sqs-blockStatus {
    display: none !important;
}

It may only work when in the CSS panel, but if it does it will allow you to then go back into editing the page and shrink the block down.

thanks mate, helped me too

I added the code to the custom CSS & while it got rid of the embedded script warning & the script disabled text, I am still having trouble shrinking the box. Can you please help me shrink that?

Did you save and refresh the page before resizing?

Looks like you have issues with overlapping blocks and probably making the button block too narrow.
