Gallery not linked to Asset Library?

When I put a gallery up the "use from existing collections" does not sync with the asset libraries and has nothing. Why is this?

I have the same question - can someone please help with this? I am trying to create a blog entry and considering they have blog post pages, the layout options seem ridiculously limited. Am I expected to re-upload all the images that I already put in the asset library just to be able to post multiple images in a single section?

How and where are you trying to add images? In an image block? The blog featured image?

Hi @MynameisJen please share a screenshot of the issue you are seeing so the community can help easier.

If you are referring to the Gallery block, you do have the option to select from the library. Content -> Upload Media -> + -> Search Images. 

Let me know how it goes or if something else you are referring to.

On 7.1 Use Existing Gallery is disabled by default, so it always empty when you select that Option

Use Summary Block to reuse gallery images is actually a good method, I also had a dedicated post about this , but with the latest Classic Gallery block, you can reuse images in the Gallery block too!
