Duplicating forms

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Is there a way to duplicate forms that have already been created to use on different pages? I assumed this was standard and that you could choose which form from a list of forms that have already been created on the site. Am i totally missing this??

For example, i have a unique form on one page- now Id like to add it to another page. I don't want to have to recreate the entire form. Thanks 😉

It will depend on the type of form and which version of the Squarespace Editor you are using. You didn't provide a link to the page so I wasn't able to check your site's version.

If you have added a Form Block to a Fluid Engine section of a version 7.1 website then you can copy and paste the Form Block to another Fluid Engine section on the same site. This guide explains how to do this. After duplicating the block you'll need to connect a storage option to the new Form Block as this setting is not copied over.

If you are using Squarespace 7.0 or using the classic editor on Squarespace 7.1 then it is not possible to duplicate a block. However, you can duplicate a page that contains a Form Block and then edit the duplicated page to remove the unwanted content.

Sadly, it still isn't possible to duplicate Custom Product Forms.

i created a custom 'test' form on a blank page thinking i could duplicate it and then add that to the footer

I understand. It's a real pain when creating custom product forms too because you often need several similar forms and there isn't a way to duplicate an existing form 🥲
