Help - Remove Banner from Blog Posts - Bedford Family - Bryant Theme

I'm looking to use code or update this theme to not show the banner image and simply show the post title text as h1 or h2 on my blog posts.

Any help with code or how i can achieve this would be greatly appreciated!

This is a tough one. Bedford is one of the few if not the only SS template family that automatically creates a banner with a thumbnail (a big thumbnail) image in the header  automatically. Other templates, including 7.1, normally require an extra step or two to accomplish.  I read this on the Bedford demo site:

https://bedford-demo.squarespace.com/read-me-bedford  which mentions to not have an image don't upload one, but something is missing to me in those instructions. 

 I have this code that removes the banner completely.
