Hello, I have created an email campaign in Squarespace.  However, when I enter the sender profile information, it says Unverified domain may be marked as spam. After trying a test (before importing all our member emails), the email does get delivered but indeed goes into the junk mail folder.  We use squarespace, our domain is hosted thru godaddy, however, we create our email accounts thru Microsoft 365 Business. What can I do to verify this?  Thanks in advance!

Your SPF record isn't correctly configured for Campaigns yet. It is currently only configured for M365, as it looks like this:

"v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all"

You'll need to log on to GoDaddy (where your domain is hosted) and modify the SPF record to include the squarespace-mail.com domain as explained in this guide: Verifying third-party domains for Email Campaigns

I hope you don't mind me hopping onto this thread, I'm also having issues verifying my domain in order to send marketing emails.

My website URL is hosted by Godaddy and I have a custom email address that I use within gmail (Google Workspace) (something along the lines of: info@example.com).

I've added all the requested DNS settings in my Godaddy account (listed below:)

CNAME squarespace._domainkey squarespace-domainkey.squarespace-mail.com
TXT @ v=spf1 include:squarespace-mail.com ~all

TXT _dmarc  _dmarc

But in Squarespace, it still indicates that the second one isn't added. I even spoke with a Godaddy specialist to verify that it was done correctly, and he confirmed that it was.

I've been waiting 5 days for Squarespace to reply to my email and their live chat is unavailable.

Would really appreciate some help....

Thanks for providing the domain information. I can see that the records are not correct and I'll explain why. This is what you currently have:

"v=spf1 include:squarespace-mail.com ~all"

"v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all"

Here there are two sender policy framework (SPF) records whereas you should only ever have one record that lists all the servers authorised to send emails from your domain. You'll therefore need to create a new merged SPF record and delete the old ones.

For example, it might be something like this:

v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com include:squarespace-mail.com ~all

NOTE: Like all answers posted on this forum, this has been provided as an example. It is provided without warranty, expressed or implied. Using it incorrectly could cause problems with your email service.

Hi @paul2009

Wondering if you could help me too. My domain is www.lafrika.de and it's also saying that the domain is unverified.. Not sure what I need to do. If you could share some steps that would be very helpful. The domain is hosted by an agency that I used to use.. Will I need to speak to them?

Thanks!

@cathpamp @EmberMorrow As a starting point, please see the guide Verifying third-party domains for Email Campaigns. This guide explains how to verify your domain by updating or adding DNS records.

I have the same exact setup. How did you get office 365 to accept them both. Are you able to share the record?

MAYBE?????????????????????

v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com include:squarespace-mail.com ~all

MAYBE NOT??????????????

Hello @paul2009 I have a similar issue, my client has a GoDaddy domain and email via Microsoft 365 and we sent out an email campaign via Squrespace that went to spam (already verified the domain in SS). Here are the records, can't seem to find out anywhere what the SPF record should be (in red), can anyone advise? Thanks!
