Morganito
Site URL: https://www.croonerradio.com I am tying to add code to my site. it worked about a year ago, and I took it off, but want it back on. This is what the widgit is asking me to do: Place the following code at the bottom of the web page, just before your </body> tag: I went to settings, advanced, code injection and then inserted into the footer section as the instructions say. It still isn't working. I tried another widget that has the same requirements and it didn't work either. Am I putting it int he wrong place? Can someone please tell me where to put this code? Thank you so very much! Link to comment
creedon
Are you on the business plan or above? Is the code installed in Settings > Advanced > Code Injection > HEADER now? Morganito
I have it installed in settings, advanced, code injection and footer. This is what their instructions had said: Footer Code added here is injected before the closing </body> tag on every page in your site. Link to comment
creedon
Here is the issue. What this means is that your site is being loaded over https and you are trying to load code from http. Which in general is not allowed. The first step would be to ask the code provider if they have the code available over https. If not then the second step would be to try to ascertain if the code is fairly stable or static. In other words is there something dynamic about the code that requires the code to be loaded from their servers to stay fresh. If the code is fairly static it might be possible to download this code and host it yourself on your SS site. That would eliminate the https vs http loading issue. Let us know what you find out.
