Schedule inventory addition, not inventory item

I would like to schedule a release of more product to inventory at an exact time and date and not have to manually enter it at that exact time.
I see I can mark an Inventory item as scheduled but it appears not the actual inventory?
I want customers to be able to see the inventory item, and showing "sold out" before hand as it is a way for them to read about it and see pictures in advance. 

Is there a way I can make the inventory quantities additions go live at an exact time?
