Adding italicization to custom font -- getting an unwanted BOLD effect

Hey, I've got a custom font on my site with different versions for each header and body text. When I try to italicize a portion of my body text in the Page Content Editor, it italicizes but also bolds the font. I ONLY want to add italicization, any idea on how to get rid of the bold?
