Hamburger Nav Not Working on Mobile

Hi there --

The Hamburger Navigation links are not working on my website or blog in mobile view:

That menu used to work. Today, nothing happens when I touch it to expand the menu. Nothing changed. Not added. No special code or CSS involved, ever.

Thanks for the help! I'm glad this is a system problem, because I knew I didn't touch my header setup in a week. The status page doesn't seem to indicate this is a problem being fixed.

I'm so glad we're all having the same problem! I just happened to be checking something today in mobile view, and the menu didn't work. I checked on three computers and nine browsers, including the edit mobile view here. No go. Was a little shocking to realize how much a mobile site relies on such a simple feature -- otherwise, you're sort of stuck in space in the page on which you land!

Just thought I would add that we are experiencing this same thing on kawprairie.org. Originally thought it might have been some code injection, but I removed everything (including Custom CSS) and it's still broken. Was working yesterday.

Good to know! My site has been live for only a week now, and two weeks in development, so it's a pretty hardcore vanilla setup right now. I'm so glad they are aware of the problem. 

I'm having the same problem! It was working yesterday. I took out all the code injections as well and the mobile menu still doesn't work! The logo button still does in mobile view, but not the hamburger menu!

Hmm. Working now in mobile edit mode online with Squarespace, but not on an actual mobile browser.

Now working again on a mobile device!

Working in squarespace for me but not mobiles. hopefully not long 🙂

I'm sure it's just a server update propagation issue. It will hit your server in your part of the world soon, I'm sure.

I had to take my header code injection out, save it > confirmed it was then working.

Put the code back in, saved it > and now its working again. 🙂

Good for you! That's smart to force a save on a new function. That helps push an update to your site. Thanks for the quick help today!

I'm having a similar issue and have tried various fixes to no avail. Site is ibalancespa.com. Does anyone have any further suggetsions? Haven't heard back from Squarespace customer support.

The earlier posts in this thread relate to an incident that occurred in March 2021 and was fixed the same day, so this is unlikely to be related. 

Can you be more specific about the issue you are experiencing today? Some screenshots may also help as everything was working when I briefly checked the site.

Same,  but it's not just on mobile. It also happens if you narrow an updated Chrome desktop browser to the breakpoint that moves the nav into a hamburger menu.
