Adding an Auctioning Function in my store

I am trying to add an "Auction" function to my store, where someone can place bids with a finite timeline till the auction runs out. 

I was told that it would need to be custom code to make this work on Squarespace.

Does anyone have any suggestions or has attempted to create the same in their Squarespace store?

Anyone figured it out? I read you can do that with Aculty, but can't figure out how to do this yet.... ((
