Promotional Pop-up: Create "Enter Site" button to dismiss the pop-up

Hello.

I'm try to create a sort of age verification popup for a brewery website. I'm trying to make it work with the built-in promotional pop-up tool.

So far, I created a pop-up with two buttons: "Enter Site" and "Order Takeout"

The "Enter Site" button should close/dismiss the popup and show the visitor whatever page they've landed on.

The "Order Takeout" button would take underage uses directly to the food menu to order, skipping all of our content about alcohol.

For the "Enter Site" link I've tried both a "#" and leaving the link target blank. In both cases, clicking the button re-opens the current page in a new tab.

Does anyone know of a way to make that "Enter Site" button simply close that pop-up modal? And, I guess, set whatever cookies are needed to hide the pop-up per the marketing settings. I feel like there's some simple Javascript somewhere to do it but I'm not skilled enough to figure it out.

There are a number of issues with using the promotional pop-up as an age-gate solution, aside from the obvious issue that you cannot use it for promotions! It's not just the X that dismisses the popup. Clicking anywhere outside the popup will also cause it to disappear, before they consent. It's also not possible to make it reappear the same day - it won't appear until the next day - which can be an issue in some territories.

Thanks for reaching out, @paul2009. I'd come across your product but didn't recall it being flat-rate. That's attractive.

I was trying to avoid paying for this as I'm under the impression it's not even required, it just makes some visitors "feel" better.

Also, with a paid product, I'd like to be able to specify which pages it appears on, specifically with include and exclude capabilities. Does this extension offer that?
