I'm looking for a similar solution. I'm developing a site for a nonprofit art group that has art exhibitions several times a year.  I need to have people upload images of the paintings they are submitting.  This was easy in 7.0 and I'm surprised that such functionality is not yet available in 7.1. The commercial workaround SQSP suggests costs way too much for this group to afford.

Ideas?

Squarespace does not allow uploading of files by anyone other than a contributor - on 7.0 and 7.1. You’ll need a third party solution to be able to submit files/images from site visitors or customers.

For the past few years, I've been able to have people (anyone, anywhere) upload files.  The option is provided in all custom forms in 7.0.

Sadly, this isn't provided by Squarespace. They've never offered a way for visitors to upload files. If you are referring to the upload button on this contact form, it is using Michael's third-party uploader tool to provide the upload function. 🙂

Thanks for the clarification.  I'll chalk it up to senile dementia (I'm 73 and do forget things now and then).  So I apparently found and used Michael's tool to great effect several years ago, although I have no recollection of doing so.  But if I did it once, I should be able to do it again.  And that is GREAT NEWS!

Pleased to help.  We all forget things now and again 🙂.
