HOW Do i use squarespace to finish my website

I just signed up for square spaces 14 day trial and sadly im still confused I just want   to build a website that can show my photography & videography the template I picked wasn't as simple as I thought 

any advice is deeply appreciated

If you're not satisfied with the current template you're using, you could always switch templates:

We can't see your site without a password, but the above advice is good just look at some of the demos of templates. One of my favorites is Wexley, 

I built this one using all the default built in features, no code at all:  Christine Gregory Photography

This one is mine. It is built on Avenue.  I have it loaded with code, not for major changes, but for things like rounded corners special hover effects and so on. Avenue has a very classic look grid driven like hanging pictures on a wall.
