delete images on sample template

I am new to creating a website. I chose a template and I can't figure out how to get rid of the existing images that are on there and replace them with my own. 

I'm having the same issue.  Has anyone chimed in with a solution yet?

You edit the page, not the page settings, then edit the gallery or image block and delete the images in that gallery or delete the image block if you don't want an image in that spot on the page. This is the general way it works, since I don't know what template you are using I can't be more specific if I need to be.

Looks  like all is aligned quite nicely. 

This is way too many steps for such a simple task. Any workarounds?
