Dropdown Menu Background Color

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm using the foster template, but have changed the background color to black. I'm trying to change the dropdown menu background color from white to black as well. I've tried updating the site style as well as the css to:

/* Change dropdown menu background */
.header-nav-folder-content {
   background: #000000 !important;
}

Nothing changes. Here is a link to my site https://hexahedron-lavender-ctl5.squarespace.com/. Would appreciate any help.

Hi @JRyan, you'll need to set a password in Settings > Site Visibility and share that so someone can take a look and help.

You can change this in Design > Site Styles.  If you have adjusted the setting below and it's not working, first try it in a different browser. If it's still not working, then it's a job for Squarespace technical support.

Hi @christyprice, I am trying to accomplish the same thing but do not see this level of detail in my design > site styles section (I'm using the Jasper template). Is there anything else you'd recommend? Thanks in advance!

Hi @sdeng34, yep. Jasper is more limited in its style tweaks - folder color isn't an option, so you'll have to use Custom CSS. I don't have the code offhand, but maybe someone else does?

Where is this in 7.1?? There are no site styles anymore... WTF WTF WTF

No clue where to find site styles to do anything anymore. Doesn't seem possible now in 7.1 to change basic colors and fonts on individual items without making global changes. Pretty dumb and extremely non user friendly anymore. 7.1 is 100% dog shit imo.
