Custom text size with HTML?

Hello there,

I would like to have a small phrase on my website displayed in a smaller font size, than what is traditionally available. 

<font size= 2>
<a href ="URL" > Photo by XYZ</a>

Unfortunately that crashes my site and I get a blank page displayed when I include the font size. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong here`?

If you want to change link size, use CSS (add to Home > Design > Custom CSS)
