Hi there,
I am considering a third-party SS theme, but it has these Google Lighthouse Accessibility issues:
[id] attributes on active, focusable elements are not unique
some elements have a [tabindex] value greater than 0
Heading elements are not in sequentially-descending order
Links do not have a discernible name
Typically, I just tweak the front-end in whatever ways I can to mitigate these issues, because the back-end fixes are too complicated. However, I would like to learn how to address them in a way that doesn't involve removing all the design elements.
For instance, I would love to link images AND titles through to the link, but "link does not have a discernible name" usually keeps me from linking photos. "Heading elements are not in sequentially-descending order" is limiting when you are using your text boxes creatively.
What is the quickest and easiest way to address these issues (that doesn't involve a $50 monthly overlay app)?
Thanks,
Claire
