I'm interested in this as well. It seems to filter out the pickup options for subscriptions.

I'm also in need of offering a pick up offer for subscriptions. I sell weekly flower bouquet subscriptions that can be delivered or picked up, but the "Local Pickup" option gets disabled for subscriptions. Squarespace any chance you can fix this? I paid for the most expensive package you offer just so I could have the option to offer my customers subscriptions but it's of no use to me now that I cannot offer a local pickup option.

I sell wild-caught Alaskan seafood, mostly at local farmers markets. Among other things, I offer monthly subscriptions for certain products. Unfortunately, Squarespace only allows shipping as a fulfillment option for subscription products. My customers who want to subscribe for a monthly box and pick it up at the farmers market are confused and frustrated. When will Squarespace allow subscription products to be fulfilled through local pickup? Why not allow it in the first place?

Just chiming in with more dissatisfaction at this (lack of) feature.  This is such a waste of time - like tell me your devs don't value this feature without telling me they don't value this feature.
I literally WASTED HOURS trying to teach my last client who is basically incapable of understanding the back end of Squarespace how to add her repeating events that occur 5 times a week, every week, for the year. I sold her on Squarespace and she LOVES the calendar. Now I am basically her VA...doing it for her. FML
It's also not enough that Squarespace says "we don't monitor these forums" and washes their hands of it. Like put someone onto these forums guys and solve these issues that loyal users and builders are experiencing without tasking them to do your job for you. We are all here trying to figure it out, and you want to make us do more work to provide a case for customer service in order to tell you about your poorly designed feature? That's a no from me dawg.

    Bueller? Bueller?
    Has this been updated yet?
I literally switched our website away from Squarespace to Wordpress for this EXACT reason - that I could not create recurring events in the calendar

I checked out your app and it looks fantastic. But even your cheapest plan is quite expensive... more expensive than Squarespace's Business Plan. So the calendar would cost my clients more than their whole website. I work with small businesses and nonprofits (such as churches and schools) who are not making money off their events. I want to suggest that your app develop a "non-ticketing" plan that is actually affordable for those who are not selling tickets... comparable to Loxi.io which is $8/month. Thanks for sharing!

Apologies for posting on an old topic, but it seems that this question gets a response every few months with no solution. I think I may have an answer you will like.
I'm the founder of eventcalendarapp.com. Our software lets you build an Event Calendar and then add it to your Squarespace page.
We offer all softs of features, but most importantly we have full support for recurring events. Everything you could ever think off:
Every day Every week (and only on certain days) Every 3rd day of the month Complete custom dates of your choose Honestly, literally anything. I appreciate the downsides of using external software rather than something that is baked into Squarespace however the beauty of this is that we can do things that Squarespace can’t.
If you are interested, here is an example of a Squarespace site using Event Calendar App and recurring events:

    Thanks everyone.

To be honest, I think it is utter crap that supposedly "it can't be done" when practically every other host can. This is an essential feature for many businesses and organizations. This is one of the main reasons why I am looking into switching from SquareSpace.

I may as well go ahead and pile on. It is nuts that we can't create recurring calendar events and have everything about each event repeat except for the date and URL. I do hundreds of events each year. Really don't want to manually enter them all... Even the duplicate event option is cumbersome. It's hard to imagine that the techies at Squarespace can't figure this out.
