Hi all,
My site is currently using 7.0, and i want to switch to a template in 7.1.
Am i right in thinking, i need to build my site new in 7.1, subscribe then cancel my 7.0 site (losing all my analytics etc along the way)

Wow, it's 2020 now and I see it isn't yet possible to create a table in Squarespace! if clients have to learn html to add a simple html table then why use Squarespace? unless I'm mistaken and just can't find the table block? 

I would like to find the code to stop the logo from scrolling along with the site on the Tudor template. Either that or put a white background behind it.

Hi guys, recently I made this website about puzzles - www.puzzlereview.com.
On the home page at the bottom I have links for RSS, facebook and a newsletter block. I think in desktop/tablet view it doesn't look too bad (if you have suggestions for visual improvement, please let me know), but in mobile view these three get stacked on top of each other and stretched width-wise. This makes the facebook button abnormally large and doesn't look good. Can I edit the mobile view only so that the RSS and the facebook buttons still appear next to each other on phones?
Also, for the blocks above them, Squarespace first puts the pictures on top and then the Markdown blocks with the text underneath below. Can I rearrange this order as well?

I would like to add a border around some of my text boxes. how can this be done and is there a custom css code for this? I have tried using the markdown block and adding some css coding but for the life of me I can't get the banner to appear. However I am new with css, so if anyone has a code that would do the trick please help me out.

I am trying to get the clickthrough URL of each image in my galleries to open in a new tab. I did some digging and I noticed that each gallery image has the <div class="margin-wrapper"> on it. So I am thinking if I can have anything that has that class open in a new tab I should be good?
How can I change all external links contained within <div class="margin-wrapper"> to automatically open in a new blank target tab?

I found a couple similar questions on here, but the code in the answers didn't work at all for me. Is there any way for me to keep my logo displayed in the mobile version of the Five template? It kinda defeats the purpose of having a nice logo if everyone on mobile doesn't get to see it and instead just sees the page title text.

I am working on two sites, using Marquee and Dovetail. I would like to create a rotating banner image on the home page for both.
Currently, I am just using the thumbnails for the banner image, but would like it to be more captivating.
Can anyone point me in a coded and detailed direction on how I could do this? My coding skills are minimal, but I can follow directions.

I love the new Summary Block carousel. I'm curious if it's possible to "autoplay" the carousel much like galleries can do. I know this is possible using Developer Platform galleries, but would love to be able to use with Block Carousels.

Specifically, I'm using Aviator and on my services page I have a lot of entries that are service name with explanations underneath. I'd like the explanations to be hidden initially so visitors only see the list of services. Then they would have the option to expand the explanations under the services they want to read more about.
For example
Service Name (visitor would click name to open text underneath)[explanatory text here would remain hidden until user clicks service name, then expand to be read]
Is there any way to do this?

Sometimes you just want one of your contributors to be able to add a table so that they can add some data, like a league table to a page or a post.
Squarespace usually make complex things seem simple (adding images to Galleries for example) but the simple task of adding a table in Squarespace is so challenging!
Yes, I know I can add a code block and add some HTML code to create the table. That's fine for me, but my clients don't want to learn HTML - they just want to edit a table like they would in any other application like MS Word - 'Create Table'.
I'm still hoping Squarespace will address this soon so we don't have to use online HTML table tools.
Update in 2024:
It is now 10 years later (yes that's not a typo... ten years later!! ⏳) and there isn't a Squarespace Table Block built-in yet. ☹️
The good news is that Michael (Squarewebsites) built a Table Block plugin.

This plugin adds a Table Block to Squarespace (both 7.0 and 7.1), allowing you to create and edit tables on the page with ease. You don't need to know any HTML table code, and it can automatically pull your table data from a Google Sheet, making it easier for clients to update their tables using a familiar tool!

I’ve successful built a site that I’m really pleased with in Squarespace. All good, and am about to pull the trigger on a subscription.
However, I’m very concerned that there appears to be no way of backing up the site, and information on backups seems to be really sketchy.
I’d really appreciate some info here, grateful for any pointers.

We’d like to use the Squarespace store area as a more sophisticated way to display our product than the gallery areas offer.
But we don’t want to show pricing or offer for immediate sale, so the price add to cart and quantity fields are not wanted. How do we remove them?
