Adding Parallax Scrolling to FIVE template using CSS

Hi! Thanks in advance for your time if you are reading this and can be of any help.

As familiar as I am with squarespace, I am a novice when it comes to code; I have been researching and attempting to add CSS to the FIVE template to get the parallax scrolling effect on the homepage.

I added in code from several tutorials and nothing seems to change or recognize it and the template looks exactly the same.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks so much!

Adding parallax effects to a template that doesn't have it built in will involve considerable developer effort. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it usually involves more effort than it's worth. You are better off selecting an alternative template that offers this like Brine, Clay, Hyde, Marta, Mercer, Nueva, ThorneMarquee, Adversary, Alex, Eamon or Shift.
