ISO Glossary Plugin

Recommended Posts

I am moving a client's site to Squarespace and she has a glossary with ~250 words. She's envisioning a bar at the top with the alphabet. When a letter is clicked on, it could either:

  • Show only terms + definitions that start with that letter,
  • Or it could skip down to that section in a long list.

Does anyone have any resources for this?

A simple setup like this is easy enough to get working, just anchor links, but some manual work for 250 words!

The alternative could be a tabbed setup like this:

If you wanted a more complex arrangement, then a blog page with a page for each term and the Universal Filter plugin to search, probably with Categories for letters would be interesting.

@Ziggy Thank you! I find that anchor links sometimes can be a bit buggy, but I do like the idea of the tabs!

I thought about the Universal Filter plugin but it seems like it may be more complicated.

I would agree, anchor links aren't the most robust, but they're generally good enough.

Yes, setting up for this would be lengthy at least!
