SVG's not showing on live site

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Some of the svgs I have added to my website aren't showing up on the live site. I thought that during the build it could have been because the site was not on a paid plan, but they still aren't showing now that the site is live and on a paid business plan? Sometimes they would show up on edit mode or when I open the CSS panel and sometimes not.

I have attached a photo of one section of the site where there should be svgs showing. I have added them in to change the + and - icons of these dropdowns. They were displaying when I built and styled them but now show up sporadically. I have tried the fix for adding the full url in but that hasn't seemed to make a difference (the site is still in the connection process so unsure if because the SSL certificate is still in process and I can't access the site using https in the url?).

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thank you

Remove the domain name and start with /s/.

I found a solution and svgs are now showing. In the inspect panel I checked what the error message was and it said it failed to load the resource, so I clicked on svg link and opened it in a new tab. This then produced a page that said 'no such website' and the url was this "https://static1.squarespace.com/s/Minus.svg". I then replaced the 'static1.squarespace.com with the actual website url and pressed enter, it then showed the svg on the page and produced this url: "https://static1.squarespace.com/static/653060796700e1200f3d4af8/t/6530bbd2a9e40e0d089e5023/1697692626654/Minus.svg" . Once I put this url into my css code it seemed to then show on the live site.
